Cowaramup Harvest & Vines Trail

Drive Your Story

Cape Grace Wines is located on the “Drive your story: Cowaramup Harvest and Vines Trail” nestled halfway along Fifty One Road, 10 minutes from the Cowaramup township and 20 minutes from Margaret River. You will drive through our 15 acre vineyard on the way to the cellar door which is surrounded by native bush. We are often referred to as “One of the Great Little Wineries” and we are literally a tin shed in the forest.

Cape Grace Wines

A small family owned and operated winery

You will often meet one of us in the Cellar Door sharing our passion for the region, the Cape to Cape Walking Track and of course our wines. Handcrafting boutique wines from our estate grown fruit on site means that depending on the season there is nearly always something going on in the winery. We are happy to share the experience of a pick, a crush, a plunge or a grape basket press during vintage or the bottling in the off season. You can also learn about the growing process through the seasons.

The Wilyabrup sub region

The Wilyabrup sub region is often referred to as the jewel in the crown of the Margaret River Wine Region

We are lucky enough to have purchased the vineyard site identified by Dr John Gladstone as the ideal location in the region to grow grapes. Please feel free to read more about our story as our family have been a part of the Margaret River region since 1875 when Robert’s great grandfather, MC Davies built a timber mill at Karridale with jetties at nearby Hamlin Bay and Flinders Bay to ship timber to England and the Far East.

Drive your Story Drive Trails

Using one of the Drive your Story Drive Trails is the ultimate tool to plan your Margaret River self drive itinerary.

As we are located at the Southern end of the “Drive your story: Cowaramup Harvest and Vines Trail” we are lucky enough to have such wonderful winery neighbours as Howard Park and Cullen’s close by as well as Cowaramup Brewing Company just a hop skip down the road if you are chasing a cleansing ale. The natural beauty of Gracetown’s swimming beach is a well kept secret by the locals and is not to be missed. The incredible surf of North Point is also located in Gracetown and is only 10 minutes down the road and a wonderful place to watch the last rays of the sun disappear, be sure to put this on your to do list.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our region as much as we enjoy living here!
