Major Trophy Win!

The 2004 Cape Grace Chardonnay has received the Busby Trophy at the National Wine Show. Competing wines had to have received a gold medal at a previous Capital City Show to qualify. The 2004 Cape Grace Chardonnay has now received 6 Gold Medals.

James Busby is the Father of the Australian Wine Industry and The National Wine Show in Canberra is Australia’s most prestigious. The Chairman of Judges was James Halliday.

The Trophy, created by renowned Canberra glass blower Peter Crisp, is a magnificent 22 caret gold encrusted slumped glass plate and was presented to Robert by the President of the Senate The Hon Paul Calvert.

As you can imagine we are thrilled with the result as this is Cape Grace’s second trophy which is testimony of the special site and consistency in making handcrafted wines.
